Biography
I was born in the countryside, in a small afro town near Cali, Colombia. Now, I’m living in Barcelona. I’m the mix, between colombian-irish woman and afro- colombian man. I studied Economics and International Business, as my parents want “better” future for me, but I grew up surrounded by music, musicians and a very strong salsa collectors and dancers culture, which made me discover my passion for afro and latin music at a very young age.
I rebuild my life and make my 2nd career as a professional DJ and I’m currently studying Music Production in SAE Barcelona, thanks to a grant I’ve won.
DJ (vinyl + digital) cultural producer, activist and soon music producer :)
I research, mix and dance african, latin and electropical music. I want to create an vibrant, optimistic, good vibes and consciousness space. I want to share and produce happiness. I also do salsa workshops and talks about the context of the music I play.
I combine my artistic work with: Cultura en Vivo: a cultural platform and magazine I’ve created with the propose of make visible artists and stories related to afro- descendant/diaspora culture, dignify the work of african and latin artists living in Europe, create new referents, changing narratives and reuniting all of us from the love and respect for pluriculturality with intersectional and antiracist perspective.
